Here we go! April 12th- Norwex and Color Run Info

April 12th- 11am- Norwex/Housewarming Party!
I am having a Norwex party! Finally!! It is paired with our housewarming so if you want a tour of our new home please feel free to come at 1030am. The Norwex presentation will begin at 11am sharp! We will have a small lunch after- making RSVP's extremely important since I will need to provide enough food for everyone. In case you don't know about Norwex below are some links to explain how amazing this product is! I have been to so many of these "Tupperware" parties and, until Norwex, have never seriously considered selling the product. I really believe in the principles behind it. And really- do me a favor before the party and count how many different products you put on your body in a day. Yes, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hairspray, etc all count. I would like your total at the party :)

I especially liked seeing the 1st video happen in person! The presentation I went to the representative even licked the counter to prove how much she really believed in the product!

Please note- This is a CO-ED party! Everyone is invited! Please bring whomever, just make sure to RSVP your party total so I can have enough food and drinks. Also, if you want anything more to drink other than water/soda feel free to bring it.
PS: If you order anything for your momma it will be here in time for Mothers Day! Just sayin'

I would love to do another Pinterest Party. If anyone would like to volunteer hosting I'd appreciate it. Unless you don't mind leaving the city for a day- In that case we can do it at my house. I won't have a date for this until I get feedback. If you don't know what a Pinterest Party is check out the info from the last one here and here. Of course some of the details will change, but the fun will remain!

I know there are several ladies that went last year that are going to sign up again this year. If you have started a team please let me know so that we can all be on the same page. Tickets are on sale now and the earlier you purchase the cheaper they are.

Who's ready to get crafty!

Alright ladies! Who's ready to start up ladies day again!? I've been so hectic and making huge changes I didn't even do the photo challenge last month! We are almost into our new home and I have a few ideas of what I want to do. I just need to know if you are ready to go!?
1st- I want to have a Norwex party- mostly because I believe in the product but also so I can see all your beautiful faces! This doesn't have to be a ladies only- we can do this in addition to a ladies day. I can host a party whenever you are ready, I just need a place to do it since I'm between homes at the moment... Any volunteers?

I have talked to several of you ladies about doing a "my favorite thing" party. If you haven't ever been to one here's how it goes- we pick a $ amount (depending on how many people RSVP) like $5 and you bring your favorite thing for that amount for each lady coming. In return you get one of each of the other lady's favorite thing. Say lipstick or really soft socks. I already know what I want to share!

I also want to do another craft day! Like the wood blocking party or a Pinterest party- or both! And how about a night out? Dinner, cocktails? Anyone?

Let's get going girls! Please contact me if you are interested in any of these ideas. Also, I'd like your inspiring stories. Last year I had you all write about yourselves and that proved to be too hard for most of you. How about this time you wrote about a female that inspires you to be better in any way. Saturday Girls Day (AGAIN!)

What a Woman Wants Expo is going on this weekend! A few of us are planning on going in the AM on Saturday. We have EXTRA FREE tickets to get in. If you would like them please contact me and I will find a way to meet up and give them to you. Obviously I'd like you to come with us and meet me at the entrance! If you've never been to this expo the name really says it all- PLUS this is the Christmas show. Consider Christmas shopping finished all in one place! Can't wait!

For the photo challenge in December. I think we should start sooner so that we aren't all thinking about it over Christmas. How about starting on the 25th?

I will come up with ideas and post them on or before the 25th. I will also post new "instructions" since Instagram has added a new feature making this a lot easier to do. If you would like to contribute ideas for photos please do so in the next 24 hours or so.

Thanks to everyone who came to Amber's Girls Day! So much fun! I made a step stool for my mud room! Now I have 1 more to make for the kids bathroom. I love being crafty!

Pinterest Party Results

This Ladies Day was SO much fun!! The creativity was out of control! I wish I had taken more pictures, I always do. I will post what I have.

We had ladies making wreaths, scrapbooks, wall hangings and misc Christmas gifts for the kiddos. We had so much food to eat I think I gained a few pounds! Snickers salad, the best microwaved fudge, strawberries filled with amazing something, tomato lentil soup, bean dip to die for, chili tortellini, healthy no bake cookies and my favorite pumpkin chocolate cookies!  

I cannot wait to do this party again! Amber is having another party at her house Saturday if any of you want to go. Same as this one- open house, noon-whenever. Bring your craft and a dish to share. Please let her know if you are going to be there.

Saturday is the PINTEREST PARTY!!

Please RSVP if you haven't already. I need to know by Thursday morning how many people are getting the FREE CRAFT!

Here are the details in short: (if you want the full details click here)

Its a free for all craft day!!
You find a craft on Pinterest that you've been wanting to make.
You find a dish on Pinterest that you've been meaning to try.
You bring your dish (or drink) to share with about 10 ladies
Plus all the supplies you need to complete your craft.
You stay and enjoy a *kid free day making crafts and stuffing your face!

If you still need to know where to go that means you haven't RSVP'd and will need to RSVP to me (or know someone who has already RSVP'd). If you RSVP to me before Thursday morning you will receive a free craft to create!

This is an open house from about noon till about 7pm. We will have food for sure but unless someone plans to share a drink, drinks are on you. (Besides water... we will have water)

*We want all you mommies to join us! (I'm a mommy too so I get it!) If you are without a sitter and plan to bring the kids PLEASE make sure they are occupied with a craft of their own. We will not be in my home, nor will we be in a home that has children living there. (Not kid proof and not very entertaining) Your kiddos will also need a lunch/snack and projects to keep them busy the whole time you plan on being there. We will not have anyone to watch/entertain them this month.

If you can, please leave the kids with someone they love spending time with!

Have you decided what you are going to do for the Pinterest Party!? I think I just made up my mind. I'm going to do a bunch of gifts for my Little for Christmas gifts. If you jump on my Pinterest board "Pinterest Party Ideas" you can scroll through for some of my ideas. It is a shared board so it is not just what I've been thinking of doing.

November 9th PINTEREST PARTY details

Who isn't obsessed with Pinterest!? Even my husband has an account! But lets be honest- how many things have you pinned and thought "One day I'd like to make that!" and never have time? My answer is "Daily." Yep! Daily! So... we decided to have a Pinterest Party! This will give us all time and an excuse to do what we have been longing to do.

Here is how it works: 

We have an open house in Bountiful (If you RSVP I will let you know where to go- I really don't like posting where we are all gathering on such a public forum.) We will be meeting around lunch and finishing when we finish- probably around or after dinner time. We will have food for all hours (see below about food)

 

Step by step:

You log on to Pinterest.
You shop boards for things you love! (If you want on my board to share just ask and I will add you)
You pick a food dish that you'd like to try to make (Or you have already made, but found the recipe on Pinterest)
You make your dish (or drink) to pass at the party. (Plan on sharing with about 10 ladies)
You pick a craft you want to do. (I will post some inspiration below)
You bring your supplies to complete your craft.
You walk in with your dish, craft supplies and a few hours to hang out.
You eat and create!

What will already be there: 

We will be providing some basic supplies like hot glue, but since the list of idea is endless make sure you grab what you need or contact me if you think your supply is a basic and I will let you know if it's already covered. If you have some basics, like craft paper or beads, or maybe a bag of sugar or flour, and would like to share please let me know so I can pass along the information to others who may need your supply.  Think outside the box too- like do you have a Cricut machine or paint brushes? How about a those picture frames and old Tshirts you were going to donate?

*** I have packed all of my things to share. I have a bunch of scrapbook paper, ribbon, stickers, scissors, glue dots, fabric, sewing machine and accessories. I have a few random things like mirrors and tiny metal letters and paint. That's all I can remember but I have 3 large boxes of stuff you can pick through.

BONUS!

 I will be providing a free craft if you RSVP by November 7th (I can't buy your supplies if I don't know you are coming) It'll be a cute one that is easy to create so don't stress! Free craft means you don't have to bring something other than a dish/drink to pass! Unless you are as excited as me and want to do both crafts!

Want to try photography!? The location we picked has plenty of places for poses. I will even bring my camera if you ask! My sister will be there to help with tips and tricks too!

Ok so I'm not the best at sewing, but I have a sewing machine I will bring-  I know the basics and I'm sure someone else there can help too!

I will probably be creating some kind of home decoration since we will be moving shortly after this party. I'm thinking of making some curtains... HMM... I'm going to have to learn! Or maybe a painting for the bathroom. Did you know my sister knows how to paint- AMAZINGLY! (She hasn't volunteered to help, but I'm sure if you asked she'd love to!)

Don't know how to cook? Want to learn- My mom is a good cook and we will have a kitchen at the location! This means you can cover two birds, one stone. Your craft is the meal you are going to share. Just make sure you have all the things you need. If you need an appliance give me a call ASAP so I don't pack what I have.

That gets me thinking... What if I want to do a meal planning idea- you know, like the month of freezer meals... I might not be doing my curtains after all.

I'm getting too excited! I think it's time to start pinning! Oh and don't forget to RSVP for the free craft!

We seriously had so much fun this month! We all decided to do this more often, so look forward to another Wood Blocking party! We actually have 2 ladies RSVP'd to the November party that are doing this as their craft! I though about it too! Christmas is coming and how cute would this be for a gift!!? I didn't take as many pictures as normal because I was busy making my HOME blocks. Thanks Patrice for hosting this! I look forward to doing it again soon! -L
